As most people know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is a special time to bring awareness to the disease and raise funds and attention towards research for a cure. October should also be a time to appreciate the brave women and, yes, men who are currently battling Cancer or have successfully beaten it.

With such a devastating disease affecting both genders, side effects from medications can leave clients with some unforgettable scars both emotionally and physically. One of those side effects is hair loss. Though history cannot be erased, a new future can be created at Transitions of Indiana.

At Transitions of Indiana, we have helped many women and men restore their hair and regain their confidence after undergoing chemotherapy and battles with Cancer. We know that hair is an important physical attribute that essentially builds your confidence, so for that reason we are saying “R.I.P “to hair loss and “Hello “to hair loss solutions.

As technology advances, as do we. Transitions of Indiana offers various procedures with the latest technology and a trained staff. Our ARTAS Robotic FUE Transplant is one of the latest procedures rising in popularity for its precision, accuracy and fast recovery rate. Laser Hair Therapy is one of the most popular procedures currently, for thinning hair. We also offer customized hair replacement solutions like Sensigraft™ available for men and ReAllusions® for women, which is often the best choice for post chemo clients.

Our mission is to give every client the most natural looking hair. Breast Cancer can be a tough journey to overcome. At Transitions of Indiana, your hair restoration journey will be a much easier one, with comfortable and confidential attention from our staff of hair restoration experts.

We wish all the best to everyone this month.  Good luck and let's all work together towards a cure!

There is a great event approaching…no it’s not Halloween, although I cannot wait to create my Doctor Who costume—the event I’m speaking about is both for an amazing cause and shows awesome Colt Pride.

October is national Breast Cancer Awareness Month and it is getting a lot of support from our favorite team throughout the month. So… to commemorate it, the Colts are uniting with other teams in the NFL’s national, “A Crucial Catch”, initiative by encouraging their fans to join them in recognizing the survivors and in raising awareness for the disease that, unfortunately, threatens the lives of millions of women each year.
Let’s throw some facts out there:
- In 2014, an estimated 232,030 cases of  invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in the U.S. alone.
- For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than any other cancer, besides lung cancer.
- About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime.
- Besides skin cancer, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women. Just under 30% of cancers in women are breast cancers.
Visit ww5.komen.org for more information.

Many people are affected by this and not the just the ones who have the disease. Breast cancer also impacts the lives of family and friends. Join the effort. Get involved. Raise Awareness.
